This was one of my more unusual shoots. An article was written about how to paint your AR-15 using normal spray paint (“rattle can”). The editor gave me his gun some spray paint and told me to go read the article and photograph the steps. I have never done anything like that before but hey, I’m game. I got a friend to be a hand model. He was completely floored that we were spray painting a perfectly good gun. It turned out decent.
The lead image was supposed to be a Bob Ross type image. I was having problems getting a model, and given the deadline we went with a more straightforward studio shot.
